How do You Use Dewatering Filter Bags?
- Place the Dewatering Filter Bags on a flat or level surface. Note that Dewatering Filter Bags can be rolled down slopes.
- Pump Sediment-laden water into the Dewatering Filter Bag.
- Insert the pump’s discharge hose through the dewatering filter bag sprout and close the connection with a clamp or tie wire.
- Dewatering Filter bags can work with most pumps utilizing a 2”-4” discharge hose.
- NOTE: High pumping rates and high sediment loads can cause the Dewatering Filter bag to burst.
Dewatering Filter Bags – Available in a Range of Sizes
Standard Dewatering Filter bags are made from 8 ounce/sy or 10 oz/sy non-woven needle-punched geotextile with double-stitched seams.
Many different sizes are available. Check with your local Hanes Geo Components branch for the sizes which are commonly used.
